E600 core 2 Processor

is it 2 or 4 cores??
if it's 2 cores then i thought duo core are 4 cores
and quad core = 8
i only ask cuz i did system spec >boot advance > enviroment Advance> and it says i have 2

I think you mean E6600,well its a dual core CPU therefore it has 2 cores and quad cores have 4 cores,however Intel's i7 CPUs are quad core but since they have
Hyper-Threading,in windows task manager it shows 8 cores

This means that there are 4 "virtual" cores and 4 "real" cores, so they still call it a quad core.
