I have:
Dfi lanparty x38
e7200
2 gb ddr2 800 crucial ballistix
logisys 650 watt psu

Probably stock voltage, I got my E4600 stock (12 x 200 = 2400) to 2.664 by changing it to (8 x 333 = 2664) @ stock voltages. I like the higher FSB because it creates more bandwidth for my system, I went from 4.8 out of 5.9 scale to 5.9 with that change on Microsoft Vista's Index Score. The RAM ran at the same DDR2-800 PC6400, 2.2v, 4-4-4-12 2T timings. Only thing holding me back is E4600 @ 2.664 and my WD1600AAJS (both are 5.7, everything else is 5.9). I have same exact RAM as you do with an 8800GT. In my honest opinion, E4600 are the worst overclocking CPU in the world. E4500 clocks lower at stock (11 x 200 = 2200) but will OC higher. Your E7200 will hit past 3.0 Ghz easy. Try for 3.2 Ghz to 3.4 GHz.

Use ACF7P, very good cooler for mild overclock. Easy to install too, if you want much higher OC like Q6600 to 3.6 GHz get something like a Zalman 9700 or a Zigmatek or a TRUE.

ok sure i was originally going to get the ACF7P but i thought the core contact would be a better cooler but ill try the ACF7P

and i want to overclock as much as possible without a voltage change or a minimal voltage change (i dont want to damage anything , i dont have any cash right now lol)

3.0 stock no problem. 3.4-3.6 on stock cooler @ 1.35 volts if you dont have real bad V-droop. I've built several and most overclock to 3.6 like nothing and some dont want over 3.4, but I've never had one not go to atleast 3.4 with stock cooler and 1.35 vcore.

my E7200 is reading 3.04 Ghz on 1.09 V on the not so good stock cooler in summer. The stock is 1.15 V auto voltage suck , i think u can go farther than me with the better hsf

i seen many OC to 4Ghz+ with very low vcore and reasonable load temp. i will be getting one rig setup soon using the E7200 and the original chinese version of the sunbeamtech core contact cooler.:) cant wait!!!!

I'm at 3.16 @ 1.125 volts with stock cooler, load temps at around 52 degrees C :) In an Antec 900 case.

if your mobo allow that E7200 should let you "fly" to 4Ghz with east since the 9.5 multiplier.just 422FSB will get you there. most mobo is capable of 450. so the 4Ghz target is ease to do. i will get one of these baby myself.

should we have a little contest see who can get higher?:D

Hey I have an Asus P5N-D 750i with a E7200 2gb of Patriot DDR2 800mhz RAM. Asus has a program with the mobo called AI gear 3 or something and you can overclock from there and they have presets that allow inciments of 5, 10, 15, and 20% I went with 10 then 20 and my CPU is running at 2.78ghz at about 42 degrees C. All I have changed is applying the 20% setting is it safe to do this without changing anything else???

**** ! I setup my E7200 bootable on 1600FSB, 3.2Ghz, buss 400x8.
And temps with AKASA 961 cooler only on full load CPU:26C, Cores:38C

When i play games - setup from Asrock OC tuner buss 400x9.5,
Result: 3.8Ghz, 1600Fsb
And Temps on Full load is same, cores don'[t go over 40(42).

And i think this is only half resources from this wonderfull processor, i seen pictures where guys setup 2000FSB and more 4Ghz without any snow or water cooling.

:hello:

MY OC WITH TRITON 75 COOLER

I CANNOT PASS BUS OVER 415MHZ IF I DO MY HARD DRIVE STARTS TO GLITCH...
AT THIS SPEED PRIME 95 24H STABLE AVERAGE TEMP 40@100% LOAD
