Hello, i have been trying to get my new Intel E7500 working for about 2 hours now with still no luck, when i boot up my pc the screen is just blank and doesnt recognise that there is a connection, Any ideas why would be lovely. my graphics card is a nvidia Gts 450

Solution
So you selected the GM45 not the CM45, they are 2 different boards.

You need to be sure that you have the GM45 otherwise your new cpu won't even work.
Download cpu-z and see what it says about your mobo and bios info.

The chipset has to be the 945G not the 945GC, cpu-z will also tell you this.

Get the Seasonic or Corsair if you can afford it although the OCZ will do you fine if you want to save some cash.

Yeah ok col cheers just purchased the corsair 1, recon the change in power supply will do it or willi still need the bios update, cuz so far ive had no luck with gettin that bios updated

Yes ive got the old cpu in cant use the new one yet. And the bios update is just screwin me around atm, tryed it with Usb but when i try and do it it says boot from Cd, and i have changed the boot priority to usb, so not quite sure now.

Which Corsair? I changed it to a 550w for nearly the same price?

Still do bios update, have you checked you don't have the latest already?

yh wont be here till wednesday which is abit of a bitch, ill keep tryin to get this usb bios updated, i used that link u gave me and put all the files it gave me onto my usb.. is it a good thing to just put all of them on?

^Don't need that link.

You have to run the bootdisk file from your desktop to create the bootable usb drive.

Then put the Foxconn files on the bootable usb drive.

Create your bootable usb drive - http://www.bay-wolf.com/usbmemstick.htm
Download the latest bios file and copy the files to your bootable usb drive usb drive.
Follow udate instructions, print them out - http://www.foxconnsupport.com/faq. [...] F000000066

Ok then ive got to the point with the bios update when it comes up with smethin like >c/ or smethin like that and i have to type a command in. any ideas what it is i aint gotta clue :/

Nope, the bios update has been added and updated just put my cpu in and tried again but still no luck. Screen just flashes then says. "monitor going to sleep". very frustrating now. Any ideas?

So how'd you get it to work, you are sure its updated ok, check it in bios and cpu-z.

Don't overlook the possibility you have a dud cpu, any way you can try it in another machine?

Thing is the E7500 is a 65w and your old D925 needs more juice as its a 95w so don't think its psu.
So you updated the bios and booted into windows fine with the old cpu.
Then changed cpu's and reset the bios before firing up again?

If its not on the supported list its not a good start, you could email Foxconn for confirmation.

Did you buy it new, can't you return, pick up a e6600, they clock well and might be a bit cheaper.

Be sure to get the C2D E6600 and not the Pentium E6600.
