I currently have this mobo running an Athlon IIx2 235e.
Looking at the specs on the AMD site chart this processor looks like the same spec more or less as far as requirements go:

so my question is
should I be able to swap this dual core 235e I'm running on the ECS MCP61PM-GM
to the quad core 605e without worry?
What will be my advantage of doing this?
Will it kick up the throttle?
They're both 45 watt and the mobo can handle up to 89
