Question Epic Games Launcher Invalid Drive / Could not find Component

Harddrive with Epic Games installed on it died after trying to verify a game for an extremely long period of time. (Epic games is profanity).
Now I no longer can install the launcher again due to the invalid drive being missing.
Did the drive letter reassign workaround and now im presented with this. (Image).
Have tried using Windows Install Clean Up and deleted numerous registry entries with "Epic Games" mentioned to no avail.
Any help is appreciated

Is the link to the image not working? I was unable to upload one from my computer to the post.

Computer is my own personal custom made desktop. How would I go about copying my driver information? Hardware is the same as on my profile.

The windows software was originally standward unactivated Windows 10, was migrated to Windows education through free University upgrade. Could potentially have some issue there.

What game were you trying to verify when the failure occurred?

Fortnite, was taking 3 days and after trying to uninstall the game the drive ceased to respond and is no longer acknowledged by computer.
