[citation][nom]tayb[/nom]Customers aren't criminals but people like dxwarlock and others in this thread are not customers, they are criminals. I am always shocked about how many people come into these forums, openly admit to being the problem, and bash the developers for bailing. STOP F****** PIRATING. You are the problem. When a game gets illegally downloaded 13 times more than the actual unit sales there is a freaking problem whether the thieves in this thread want to admit it or not.[/citation]
What is the source of the problem? Why was it pirated that much? How many that pirated went out and bought the game?

I know a lot of people pirated MW2 merely as a statement against multiple things that were in play. For example, the price was increased from the PC standard of $50 to $60. It lost any PC features that it shouldve had (no dedicated servers, no modding, no in game console commands, no map making, no demo recording and more) and became a direct console to PC port. People were flat out outraged that they were paying significantly more for significantly less. Then, in turn, a lot of those people ended up buying it for the X360 (pirate PC version since its easier and smaller to dl -> buy the version you would actually use).
