Eps/atx12v 8-4 pin issue

I know very little about power supplies, so this may be easy to answer.

I have an Asus P6T motherboard, which has an 8-Pin EATX12V power slot on the top of the motherboard.

My power supply went out so I had to buy a new one. I purchased the Corsair CX600. It has an eps/atx12v 8-4 pin power connector.

Can I plug this into my motherboard?

My motherboard looks like this:

Why don't they match up perfectly?

It will work just absolutely fine.
