error code

I would like to know what is the cause of the following error code and and what can be done to stop it from staying on the desktop when windows start.When I click OK or CANCEL it comes back up.
here is the error code.it is for explorer.exe-Application Error

The instruction at "0x013b8ad2" referenced memory at "0x00000003". the memory could not ve read.

Click on OK to terminate the program .
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.
