Salve community,

I went to the Intel website to check your CPU model, it can only support up to 2666MHz, so you can't boot using 3600MHz and was restored back to default settings by the BIOS.

If you want to use high frequency memory. You can refer to the following maximum frequencies supported by the CPU.
i7-10700K DDR4-2933
i7-11700K DDR4-3200
i7-12700K DDR5-4800 or DDR4-3200
i7-13700K DDR5-5600 or DDR4-3200
These are the maximum memory frequencies that the CPU can support by default. If your MoBo supports higher frequencies, you can try overclocking.

Everything you said is wrong the stated speed means nothing.
Mine says 2666 set XMP and 3200 runs just like it should.

Set XMP for your memory then manually change the speed to 3200.
Everything stated above is wrong.
if I want to buy the rtx 4070 gpu, which components do you recommend me to upgrade?
would the current cpu be fine?

Mainly I should use the pc for unreal engine (work)... and for fun playing battlefield 2042
