playing Generation Zero, I have gotten an error twice now.
since i cant share the image from my PC directly , ill just type out the error verbatim.

Error, D3D Device Lost!
Device Removed, Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG:
Graphics device stopped responding. There might be an
infinite loop in a GPU program.
Please verify that the latest graphics device drivers are installed.

4 things.... I have a 1000W PSU, nothing is OC'd, I have the latest drivers and nothing is overheating.

You've generically stated 1000W. You're advised to mention the make and model of the unit.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Please include the age of the unit as well if it's been in service for a while.

Did you try and see if using DDU to remove all GPU drivers, then manually reinstalling your GPU driver in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator?

also... no i have not tried that. mostly because my GPU drivers have been up to date since the second of may and Gen Zero is the only game that has had any issues running for me.
Edit: i suppose its worth mentioning as well that ive only had the issue twice and ive been playing GZ for three days. It happened once yesterday and once today.

UPDATE:

I seem to have fixed the issue.

The problem appears to have occurred with the game and NVIDIA settings not getting along. I turned all of my Anti-aliasing settings for GZ off in the NVIDIA control panel and gave the game Admin privs for when I launch it. After a quick reinstall of the game and then validating files and once more reinstalling my GPU drivers... Nothing has gone wrong for a good 3 hours of gameplay.
