I've been searching for an answer about my mobo does supports 9 gen?

my specs are now i5 6500 16gb dual sticks of ram 256gb ssd 500gb hdd. So, the motherboard is mentioning everywhere that it supports 6 to 9gen. so is this true? i need to up this so its really going to help me

bro, 8 9 gen has the exact socket, and my mobo also have. and i saw a video that, it will work 9 gen. because the bios of this is now updated. and i saw some real life testing about the h110m supports 9 gen
Assuming this isn't just another case of "internet magic", do you have the same BIOS version installed?

There are multiple chipsets supporting the same physical socket. All CPUs using the same sockets will NOT work in all of those various chipsets (as sent to you earlier with the info from Intel).

Assuming this is legit, it would be unofficial support and likely a flawed implementation.

Good luck.

BTW: There are a couple recent threads with these off-brand H110 motherboards. I would be very skeptical about their reliability.

Well then...what happened when you tried it?
the thing is, the mother board user manual is kinda sus, it shows that the motherboard has way too many variety. like one support 2666mh ram. other one supports nvme, but all of them supports 9 gen. there is 3 variants that are mentioned in the motherboard manual. and i found out that, the 3 no layout is identical to mine. but there is a catch. there was no SyS fan output. but mine has

the bios version mine is 2023 October, it is very unlikely to not support 9 gen. also this ones come with a CD driver

That is Q150 chipset board (not H110).
And neither of them support 9th gen cpus.

For 9th gen support you need 300 series chipset board.
Intel® B365 Chipset
Intel® Z390 Chipset
Intel® H310 Chipset
Intel® Q370 Chipset
Intel® H370 Chipset
Intel® B360 Chipset
Intel® Z370 Chipset

yeah, its kinda messed up. the mobo manufacturer says its a h110 chipset, but software says its not. Not to mention my motherboards model is Esonic H110mDA1

The other thread is not proof of something working, especially in your situation.

Sorry, but we can only go on the facts as we understand them.
