Upfront: I have my desktop pc that has an ethernet connection to my ISP modem/router combo that will intermittently just disconnect from the network.
I have a gigabit modem with my ISP that's connected via ethernet to my TUF Gaming motherboard into the Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller port that will disconnect at random times. Sometimes, I'll be downloading a file worth >50 GB and it will just go out. Other times, it will be after using it for hours of regular Youtube browsing or whatever else I'm on the internet for. I used to get around this with this batch file I wrote that would just reset the network adapter itself but that's stopped working. Now the only way around it is a restart of the entire computer.
When this problem happens, it gives no warning. It simply disconnects and says "Connected to Unrecognized Network" or something along those lines. See below for all information that may be important for follow up questions.
When I go to Device Manager, click the network adapter, then advanced, these are the values I see
I do have a VPN installed that I use, but the network problems persist whether or not the VPN is connected.
When my I experience this issue, the rest of the machines on the network do not experience it.
It seems like I tried fixing this problem before as the event log says I deleted the device driver a year ago and then reinstalled it, which is true, but can't find the driver file anymore.
Not that it should matter, but I'm in the US.
I'm on Windows 10 still and everything is up to date.
