Question Ethernet Not Connecting to PS5

I bought a new ARRIS router to save money from renting from my ISP. I also bought an ethernet cable to connect it to my PS5. I plugged it into both but it doesn't seem to be working. I see no light on in the back of my router and I'm unable to connect to my PS5. All my ports are enabled on my Router but I'm not sure if there is something else in the settings I need to change to allow connect. Please help.

Do you have a laptop or other device to try that cable and port?
I don't have a PS5, but is it possible the ethernet port is only active if you select a wired connection in the PS5 network setup ?
