Question EVGA 3080 Ti and Corsair850 PSU connection ?

Hello everyone!

I just got an EVGA 3080ti which has 12 pins but I only have the corsair RM850 for my PSU, how do I connect the GPU to my PSU to get all 12 pins?

The card didn't came with an adapter? Should be in the box, if not contact EVGA.

Yes and thats my problem. I came from a 3070 which has 2x8pins.

I dont know where to plug in the 3rd 8pins from the PSU to my GPU.

Ok I was confused because you said 12 pins. The ideal setup is using 3 pcie power cables which from a quick look the current RM850 comes with, although I don’t know if older versions did. You first need to see if you can find another pcie power cable.

The second option is to use 2 pcie power cables, each cable has 2x 6+2 (8 pin in total) so on one cable you use 2 connectors and on the other you use 1. This isn’t ideal but should work ok.

What is the full pc spec?

I read somewhere that it is not ideal to connect it at 4+4CPU.

Don’t know why anyone would say that. The psu is designed to support 3 pcie power cables. Any type of an adapter would be worse.

Yes, as long as it’s the original psu cable that came with the psu.
