excesive temperature???

Hi,

I have a hard disck seagate 7200.10 320GB model: ST3320620AS.

I have installed the everest program and I've saw that the temperature in idle it's about 42ºC and in full about 48ºC.

I don't know if with this model it's normal or no?

Any help?

what's your room and case temperature? You can go to the drive's website and there they list the safe operating temps for your device. you can always buy an inexpensive hdd cooler as well.

Those temps are fine - that model has a maximum operating temperature of 60C.

If it gets above 55C you should start to worry.
