now that's funny, showed this to my kids, now 13, and they asked if I could do that for them one day, or maybe they could build it out of the camping supplies, this makes it really hard to say no.

I don't play online since we moved out in the country away from cable and DSL, we have a Satellite internet connection and the Ping rate is close to 1,000, when I play online I'm playing in jerky robot like motion because of the Ping rate.

Last I played online with my friends was Left 4 Dead with RCPilot and some others.

There is no resolution to the ping problem it can be tightened up a little, I tried every trick I was given to try, the best I could get it down to, was around 900, that's totally unacceptable for online play.

Maybe I could start a Ping 900 club!

News Flash! Jerky Robots Attack Zombies!

I do miss it, maybe one day they'll bring cable out where I live, but I doubt it.

We love it out in the country!

It has it's disadvantages but the advantages far outweigh them!

I don't know if I'd call it hardcore, to me hardcore was Dry Ice and Extreme was LN2 cooling, maybe Ambelow Cooling.

There's a guy at another website claiming his Bong Chilling tower is a better solution, but he can only reach 5c below his ambient room temperature, and I can reach 5c actual.

His solution is also not maintenance free because he still has to maintain water levels from the evaporation, so whether it is better? Is a matter of opinion.

Ry and I discovered that cooling towers is what caused Legionnaires' disease that killed 21 out of 86 people infected. Link

So if you have a system like that make sure you have very good ventilation for your safety. :)

Thanks for providing that link Art,

I completely forgot about that Legionnaires possibility, that could possibly also occur using a Chill Tower Bong type cooling solution, it is exactly the same cooling theory.

I had considered making a Bong Chilling Tower myself and exhausting the evaporation outside the home was one of my negatives against the build.

Negative meaning not wanting to cut holes in my wall to do so, my wife thinks I'm crazy enough as it is!

Plus those that have made those Bong Chill Towers and allowed venting inside their home have to contend with mildew forming almost immediately, it produces a perfect mildew environment.

And that environment could very well lead to the more serious, Legionnaires disease.

Nope, sorry, All I'm taking from the five previous posts is:

(Water)cooling towers is what caused Legionnaires' disease that killed 21 out of 86 people infected :ouch:

Yet another reason not to use Zalmans Reserator, when will people learn!!!!!

Space is the only real obstacle I have (other than fundage ofc 😛)
But you know I'm the kind of guy to cheerfully explore a method, and maybe invent one or two as well hehe,
You're right, this kind of cooling isn't for everyone, its for a select crazy few who have an idea, the guts and persistance to pursue it, the brains/luck to make it work
and who can turn round nonchalantly in conversation and reply,
Because I can.

:)
Much respect to anyone who tries, not just in this, but that actually gets off their arse and makes an effort at something, anything
to prove that they once were alive

Moto, your Rad Box project is a planned work of art!

My project totally began as an experiment, it could have been a total failure, but obviously it was meant to be, and come into existence, and though from idea to inception a lot of work has to take place, the determination, persistence, and tenacity, is something we both share.

Congratulations you should be very proud of your accomplishment, and I thank you for the idea of a Rad Box in the first place! Ry

**but obviously it was meant to be,**

Yup, I firmly believe that what is meant to be, will find a way to be
Theres a Scottish saying thats similar, 'whats for Ye won't go by Ye',
but that doesn't mean you can't set out looking for it first hehe
I am still sad that what started as a build to sell didn't, but if I'd built this as 2500k, or bulldozer had been awesome, I wouldn't be sat here now next to a silent Awesome Pc
and I would never have built the box for it.....
This is one of the best feelings of being in a forum such as this for me, being able to help others is always nice, but also to help further the field a little, really makes me glow hehe

Don't have to click Bro, Me and the other half are waiting impatiently already hehe
Oh glad I did, new trailer :)
Bit off-topic (Or back on topic depending on view)
Been playing again

67'c is from ibt max settings run just one pass but its a decent stable, I.e. no Bsods clock and I'm sure it will handle WoW for me
Yup, fps runs between 100-230 in netherstorm so smooth as I need :) and temps were at 52'C
it seems 4.4GHz is the most I can get 100% stable without knowing more about how things affect other things hehe, but at least I know I can get 4.5GHz, one day I'll have it stable hehe

Well a while back I couldn't get 3.5 on my unlocked 435, I learned a few things, time passed and then I found the way to get it,
So whilst its a difficult thing at the moment, one day I may have the necessary skills/knowledge to get 4.5GHZ stable on this one,

Hey, Ryan I wanted to know if you had any experience with Peltiers for CPU cooling? I was thinking about trying to use one on my current WC build but I haven't really found any great places that explain them well, if you could maybe point me in the right direction for Peltier cooling, which I have heard is a below 0C cooling method.
