[SOLVED] Ext m.2 nvme ssd disconnected mid transfer, now it shows up as unreadable usb drive

Hi everyone,

It was a crucial p2 1tb ssd in one of those Chinese ssd enclosures. I disconnected the cable mid transfer and now it shows up as USB drive and I can't access files. How can I fix the drive? Would buying a new enclosure help?

Add info: I used to use this drive as the boot drive on my computer, so it was formatted as such. I just need some data off it before I reformat it to use in my laptop.

Troubleshooting done:
1. Restarted pc
2. Uninstalled usb mass storage driver from device storage

It shows up as D: USB drive and it says the location is inaccessible

So, I fixed the problem myself.

Basically, it was a problem with the orico M.2 ssd enclosure, not the ssd. All I had to do to recover files was to plug the ssd into an open port on my PC motherboard and everything started working. Buying another external enclosure won't fix the problem.
