External hard drive WD 1600BEVS 160GB unkown not initialized and no space, how can i solve and get access to my data, please kindly help me out. thank you

I have tried with some available testing tools (sea tool/mini toolPD/Find and Mount/WD Data Lifeguard Diagnosis, recuva, easyus.. )
most of them not detecting device, WD Data Lifeguard Quick Test Pass but Extended test failed

Try the drive in another known working external drive case.

And/ or just externally connect the driver with a USB - SATA adapter. And use a separate power supply.

Likely some damage: Case, drive, or both.

Need to eliminate which one but could be both...

I will try on those options, and i am not a hardware techie guy but i wanted to tryout this and get it work.
i will update on this. Is it safe to initialise disk to MBR or GPD? and ceck what happen ?

I have found many places initialise to MBR why you are recommending GPD?

all my drives are that type. of course it's safe. try it one way, if it works, great, if it won't initialize either way, the drive or the enclosure could be bad. or both bad. you can get a cheapo sata to usb cable and test.

Thank you for this clarification based on the article GPT is modern and have more advantages than MBR,
and before i try initialise
1. my PC internal hard disk partition style is MBR, so if i initialise GPT to this external hard drive, does give any issues?

2. Hence, I do need data on this external hard disk, if i initialised probably loose data right? so recovering data can be successful? if so can you please provide best free tool reference which work fine

I have extract hard drive from case enclosure, and connect to power cable's second adaptor and connect CD ROM's SATA data cable and power on (i am not sure is correct or not its hard find here enclosure immediately.)
and first boot error "Hard drive error" see below link

widows power on but result is same for my external drive (unknown, not initialised & no Space) see the links below,

My view is that you have a physically damaged drive. That case and drive took a really hard hit somewhere....

Where did the case and drive come from?

Recoverable? Not sure. Anything you do may cause more damage and data loss.

Recommendation: Keep trying other suggestions and ideas. But look for your backups.

I have no idea whom and where is from, my boss told me to get access or recover it,
but probably there is a important file , he may know it and exact location, i have requested it, until then i want to arrange backup resources,
so
do i try initialise this device to hard drive probably on GPD ? and see what will happen

You do not want to initialize the disk. All data will be lost.

Again, anything you do may cause further damage and more loss of data.

Recommend recovery via a professional recovery company. Will be a costly expense with no guarantees. They will put the drive in a clean room, take it apart, replace components, reassemble, and see if it works and, if so, try to recover data.

You cannot do that on your own.

Send an email and get his answer in writing.

I suggest that you contact a couple of recovery companies nearby and get some pricing beforehand.

Provide you boss with some facts and figures (e.g., time and costs).

Document to protect yourself - if he did not back up some important file you may be blamed for the loss of data.

it looks like data recovery is your only option, as mentioned above, but no guarantees that you will get the data you desired back and it's expensive.
