Hey guys, I made this account just to ask this one question, as I could not find it ANYWHERE on the internet.
So I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Surround Pro 5.1 and it is a great soundcard, which I have had no problems with on Windows 8 or Windows 7.
On Windows 10 however, I can use it for an amount of time, say 30 minutes and then the sound will just stop, and it gets worse than that...
It's not only the sound that stops but every kind of media (videos) and it will only come back if I unplug and plug the card back in, if I restart the pc or if I just use the integrated soundcard (which is broken).
So what can I do? I have tried the troubleshooting tool, I have tried messing with the device manager and it feels like there is nothing else to do.
Also, the sound IMMEDIATELY crashes if I open the Netflix app for some reason...
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
(this is the second time I am posting this thread, since I got banned a few months ago and couldn't get a proper answer)

Hello

Looks like lots of people have the same issue.

Some people have resolved it by switching to a different USB port. Even though they're not sure if the culprit is the USB port itself, and neither are they satisfied with the solution, the problem is still resolved with this small trick.

Hope this works for you as well.

Cheers!!
