Question External USB keyboard stops responding ?

External USB keyboard stops responding when there is an overheat during games (but laptop keyboard keeps working) . When I exit the game, within a minute the USB keyboard starts working again. Is this expected when overheating happens? Anything else I can do apart from trying to keep it cool?

Does your laptop have BIOS updates pending? It's possible that the heat causes the laptop to seize functioning. You might want to use HWMonitor to see what your temps are. Following that, you should think about doing a cleaning on the internals of the laptop, cleaning the vents of the cooling solution as well. While here, you should change the stock/factory applied thermal paste for something higher in quality. Once all that is done, you should look into ThrottleStop to undervolt your processor and iGPU to help keep the temps down.
