External vs Internal

Specifically thinking towards BF3, would the game run better on an external solid state, or since the internet functions would be on hdd, would it still be the same?

If you mean USB, NO! USB is faster than CD/DVD drive, but way slower than internal SATA.

If you mean eSATA, NO! Even though eSATA is rated at SATA speeds, you won't get it.

Anyway, the game won't run faster, it'll load faster, as well as load maps faster.
