Was wondering what this drive is for and if I can get rid of it. its called Data and it's the D drive.

Above are the shots of the folder (which is red) and inside the folder.

I want to say it's a system restore point, but I can't find anything when googling for it.

Thanks in advance! :^)

Solution
A screencap of your Disk Management window would help here.

But 99.9MB would indicate your System Reserved partition...boot info.
It should not have a drive letter, but that happens sometimes.
In Disk Management, you can remove that drive letter.

here's a pic of the Disk Managment

I see how to remove the letter but it says warns about some programs not being able to function without a proper file path. Is that an issue here?

That is not an issue.
Remove that drive letter.
