Extremely low FPS in an old game (GTA SA)

Hello, I've got a problem with my newly purchased laptop.

It has Windows 10 64bit, i5, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, I tried playing GTA V nearly maxed out and I got 120 FPS with no problem (and there were no bugs).

Then I wanted to play GTA SA, but the game was extremely buggy, my FPS was about 10 and after "playing" for about a minute it went down to 2. The game is overall unplayable, sound is not working at all, most of the time when I try to go back to my minimized game it instantly minimizes again etc.

So far I tried running it as admin, running it in different compatibility modes, upgrading my Realtek driver, making the game use only one core instead of all four and making the game use the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated one, so far nothing helped.

Perhaps the only strange thing I noticed is quite low memory usage - its peak is at 106 MB, as far as I remember it should be higher. Other than that, I have no idea how to fix this problem.

I will appreciate any thoughts and solutions.
