Facing Problem After Upgrading the ram

Hi All, i will take short time to tell my problem. i upgraded my ram from 8 GB 1300 to 16Gb 1866 and after placing them i turned on my computer and as usual the ram check up message came up but i did not completed that even did not started that and when i entered into my bios its showing the same 1300 MHZ instead of 1600, i flashed my bios twice but nothing changed i think if i run the ram check or whatever that was it will fix but i cant find that function. My computer is too lag i feel that i am using 2 GB

Does the BIOS recognize the full amount of RAM?

Yes it does

I think its due to that i did not run that setup when new ram is installed

The installed RAM will only run as fast at the mobo will allow - installing faster RAM in a slower mobo will work, just at the slower speed.

Does Windows see the full amount of RAM (i.e. 16GB, 16GB usable)? (see the link to Microsoft's support above).

Yes its 15.9 usable and i have MSI Z87 G43 Gaming and i dont think so that it cant run faster ram

15.9GB of 16GB is normal for Windows....

The problem is may be not from windows side because i see only 1300 MHz in bios, and how do i run that setup of ram

Go in to the overclcoking section of your BIOS and select xmp profile and enable on for them

I Fixed it because the 1866 is the advertised speed but when you install it the motherboard keeps it on 1333 because its said to be the safe but when you enable the xmp profile it becomes to 1866
