Failed hard drive?

My har drive is getting worrisome about loading Windows. I though maybe hard drive failure.

However, I can get into it using SAFE MODE. I know safe mode really limits what you can do with it, but if you're into it in safe mode, is it a hard drive failure?

Maybe something else is wrong. If so, to the shop it goes.

run a chkdsk on it, boot into safe mode, goto start>run type cmd then type chkdsk C: /f into the command prompt. it may tell you that the chkdsk needs to run at startup select yes. if the chkdsk reports bad sectors then you need to replace your drive.

Download and run the diagnostics from the hard drive manufacturer.
