fan connector question

To control the speed of 3 pin and 4 pin fans? If so, what software do i use, and how do i power it? From mobo or psu?

4 pin fans are primarily used for CPU cooler fans, that would be connected by using a 4 pin molex to 3 pin fan connector which means you wouldn't get variable speed also frozen cpu has been having issues last I checked not sure if that still applies just a heads up

phanteks fan splitter/hub for 3 pin fans

swiftech fan splitter/hub for 4 pin fans

controlled by the cpu header or cpu optional header or any fan header that has pwm
