Trying to upgrade an old PC and now it won't boot. Made one minor setting change in BIOS to fix a problem installing windows and now it won't boot. I've tried removing the CMOS, replacing it, and removing various components of course.
On boot, there are no beeps but the VGA LED is always red (regardless of whether it is inserted or not). POST card proved useless. With no RAM, the computer will beep in bursts of three to let me know there is an issue. All fans working when plugged in and all wiring triple checked. Any advice appreciated.
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V Pro
CPU: Intel i5-2500
Memory: 2x4gb DDR3
GPU: R6950 Twin Frozr III
