Fast browser in safe mode extra slow in regular

5 year old pc is fast internet in safe mode networking super slow in regular mode. even without ad-ons.

Try running Disk Cleanup and see if it's your Temp files slowing you down. It's under Start>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup or Right click my computer and in the genral tab, click, Disk Cleanup.

Check the Start-up programs. Leave only the absolutely essential and frequently used ones. Disable (not delete) the rest.

Run an anti-virus check. Defrag the disk if necessary. Run CCleaner.
