Faster CPU or Dual Channel DDR?

What will get me more performance?

A P4 3 Ghz CPU with single channel DDR, or a P4 2.8 Ghz CPU with dual channel DDR? What if it was a P4 2.4 Ghz CPU instead of 2.8 Ghz?

I will be using 1GB of dual channel DDR400 memory.

A 2.8 with dual-channel should perform similarly overall to a 3.0GHz with single channel. Also, it will perform much better in certain applications that rely on constant RAM tranfers, such as games and some other 3D applications.
