Fastest Downloads You've got on your Internet Connection

I just posted this thread to see what everyone gets for their download speed and see all the great internet connections I don't have access to

I get about 150 kb/s about 1.5 mbps so not too bad...until I see you lucky fiber user's internet! What's everyone else's download speeds?

Actually 1.5mbps isn't too bad for being here in the US I think that's the avg. I get about 30mbps down because I do have fiber but I saw a post on Powerband Internet I think you can get fiber too? you may want to google it because I didn't but I'm pretty sure you can get it?

im from the UK and its pretty standard for us to get roughly 8-12mbps most of the time on standard cable,

i personally can get 8mbps on most downloads, although the uploads are pretty ****, making the webpages slower than required.

i would love to go fibre but not very wide spread in the uk yet, which is a shame, as this will put BT into a situation.

but whos complaining, lol

on cable, around 1000KB/sec (so like, 10-12mbps?) and at my old residence at school: 4-5mb/sec (so, huh, 40-50mbps?) going both ways (split about 2/3 down, 1/3 up). Max upload was only like 2mb/sec.

I can download up to a max of 6 Mbps which is the best my ISP can provide me here in Germany. Not sure what the upload rate is, but I don't care about that.

Well, if they'd get my connection fixed. I normally run at 900KB/s to 1.3MB/s so thats around 10-14mbps. I can upgrade to the 16mb service, not sure how fast I'd be getting on that. I know you can get faster in some area's around where I am.

My record is completely saturating the 100Mbps line to the router.

They should really upgrade this to gigabit...

Now I just Downloaded the Speedtest.et app for the i phone and i am getting 622 kbps download and 210 kbps upload on the 3g network.

Ran it again and got 1152/229

At work I have a 5ms ping and 18708 kb/s download and 75997 kb/s upload.

We have about 1000 people sharing the link and most of the usage is download, thus the huge difference in upload bandwidth over download.

atm i only get 10mbps which i love (1.1MB is great for Steam)

I badly want FiOS....something about 50mbps is just awesome

Im sure this was done recently.....
Anyhoo 16MB connection limited by my 5.5MB linespeed.

Fastest ive seen is a 1.2 torrent, but i pulled a 300mb file down in a few seconds the other day so maybe i got upgraded...need to do a speedtest methinks.

comcast screwed up about a year ago and i was downloading at 3.6 MB/s. yes MEGABYTES a second. now i download at 1.8-2.2 MB/s since comcast increased their speeds in my area. fastest upload i have had is only ~ 400 KB/s though...
