I play on three screens and have two 780 classifieds and they do ok the vram is what u need to have at min 4 gigs and i know uve decided on the 290 and i agree but be carful if u xfire because they will get very hot and throttle if you dont water cool them
that is not the case with custom cooled R9 290's, though heat does play as a factor, it isn't too bad.
780 SLI is only 3GB Vram, R9 290 Crossfire is only 4GB Vram. Vram is not added but mirrored.
Im aware of the fact that vram is not added i was just saying that 3gb is not enough for smooth game play at that resolution and that is why i agree that the 290 is the way to go because my set up with only 3gb is not enough which is why im switching to titans
Im running 780 classifieds and the vram is maxed out when i play bf4 on all three and the card usage stays around 80 to 95% and i know its not the cpu or ram holding it back because my cpu is never over 55% but i should have said i run on ultra also i could pull the settings back and make it work better but id rather mot have too
Interesting, you know on all cards most vram tends to be used up as that's what card do to achieve max FPS possible.
Yes but if i have no other resource that is maxed out an am still running into issues i tend to lean towards that being the main cause but i could be wrong il find out when i get my titans
