We tried the fasttrak100 on both Asus K7V-700 MHz/256 MB RAM and QDI Synatix-2E 800 MHz/256 MB RAM motherboards with two striped IBM 75GXP (30GB), but we only received rates at about 26-29 MB/s.
With the disk alone on the motherboards transfer rates were about 22-23 MB/s. Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas why?? We thought the striped configuration should bring rates at about 40 MB/s or higher. But not for us.

Yea, something is definitely wrong. I have 2 Quantum Fireballs LM striped with that card, and I have a transfer rate of 45-50 mb/s.

What benchmarking program did you use?

Hi again, and thanks for the reply. Well we tested with both Winbench 99 and Sandra, both latest full-versions. But don't know if these programs really gives the correct values (not for us anyway), so what we did was making a large RAM-drive to copy to/from and when overviewing the copying back and forth the RAM-drive and the RAID actuall rates were between 26-29 MB/s.
Any comments about this messuring method? What could be faster than a RAM-drive?
Any suggestions are welcomed as we now are stuck in a corner.
