Some info on my system:
I built it about 8 months ago, all brand new parts through amazon or newegg. As of use, I use this PC a lot, though nothing I do is ever really pushing my machine. It is on for about 10 hours a day, while I watch youtube, twitch, work on homework or play League of Legends and Counter Strike: GO. The hardest thing I have used this machine for are some video games, mainly skyrim and far cry 4 on max settings, but its been months since I have played anything that intensive.

Specs:
CPU: i7-4790k
CPU Cooler: NZXT Havik 140
Video Card: r9-290
Motherboard: msi g45 z97
Power Supply: Corsair CX 750m
Hard Drive: seagate barracuda 1tb
Case: fractal design refine r4
Software: Windows 8.1

Anyways, heres my problem.

Yesterday, I get home and as soon as I get to my room, the first thing I do is try to turn on my PC, doesnt work. Press the on button a couple more times but I have no luck. So, I decide to open up my case to try and see what was wrong, all the pins and connections seemed just fine. Then, I just turn off and on my power supply. Shortly after, my pc turns on for a split second, then turns off again. Not even enough time to boot up, just enough for the fans to spin a few times and the led light to blink.

Anyway, I had an errand to run in 30 minutes, so i just decide to leave my power supply unplugged until i could get back with more time to work on it. I come back in an hour and try booting again and somehow it works perfectly fine.
Now, my question is, what should I do?
Should i yank the cord of my PSU before it blows or will it work just fine now?
Is there any way I can find out if something is wrong?

I am looking into the warranty for this PSU in case anything happens, but unfortunately i threw away the box, I am keeping an eye out for good deals on PSU's in case as well.
Would really appreciate any help.

ask the power comp if there ws a brownout or loss of power in your area. if there was and the pc was on the mb may have locked up in sleep mode. from your posting if it was not the mb locking up it may have been a cap issue. with the power supply off the cap drained that had the issue. look at the power supply the ser# is on it. use it to check the warranty on the power supply.

I asked my mom and the neighbors if they've experienced any loss of power, they said no. So im very doubtful a brownout occurred, while i was gone, and im checking on the warranty myself.

can you explain a bit more about the atx spec bit? im not completely sure what you mean
