[SOLVED] Files Are Missing After Windows 10 Update

Hello guys,

My brother lost some files of his PC after Windows 10 update. When i checked i see only 2 files in Documents. I checked C:/Users/brother/Documents i saw the same 2 files.

I tried system restore but it didn't give me any restore point. Used also data recovery software but didn't see the missing files (i found older) and files don't open (i think it's software problem).

Is there any way to get back the missing files ?

Sounds very much like someone performed a clean installation of Windows, which leaves nothing of the previous install behind. If this is the case then there is nothing recoverable.

What's strange is there still some files on his PC.
I google about files missing after windows 10 update and i saw some people having the same issue.
Could it be repaired by installing some Windows stuff ?

That hasn't been a problem for several upgrade cycles. The files are gone.
