Files read-only after backup to CD-R HELP!

Hi

I copied 500megs of files to a CD-R as backup.

Now when I copy them back they are naturally read-only.

Is there an easy way to remove the read-only attribute from FILES IN MANY DIRECTORIES?

Strange. I have never had that problem. What type of CD-R drive do you have?
I do not know about multiple directories, but just select as many files as possible, right click on them, and after selecting properties, make sure the read only box is not checked.

You can change the properties of entire folder(s) all at once.

Maybe so but I am talking about thousands of files in hundreds of folders (Win98SE backup).

Is there a utility to do this?
