I recently upgraded to Windows XP. Among the many problems I am left with is
that each time I boot up the Firewall turns off. It SHOULD start up when I
boot up, but it doesn't. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thx.

Go to Control Panel > Administration Tools > Services > ICF/ICS (Windows
Firewall) and make sure that it is set to Automatic. Also while you are
there click the dependencies tab and see if all of the Firewall's
dependencies are not disabled.
