does winxo have its own firewall, and is it any good?

If it's working...overclock it!

Yes, Windows XP has a built-in firewall but it's useless. Just download the the free version of ZoneAlarm.

I wouldn't say the functionality is as good as ZoneAlarm, or does it give you as much to configure and as much control. But it does give your computer a "stealth" status on the Internet, if that helps.
