Hey guys, I am a first time desktop builder but I have some experiences from repairing components such as OS setup as well as CPU heat sink and case fan upgrades. I have issues running games on my Asus G75VW so I am building a desktop as they are also known to be more powerful then a laptop.

Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime before July
Budget Range: As ridiculous as it would sound for a first time PC build, My max budget was looking at 4500-5000
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Recording, Editing, Programming, CAD
Are you buying a monitor: Yes (A high resolution monitor with a high refresh rate is my goal
Do you need to buy OS: Yes (Windows 8 with a free upgrade to Windows 10 whenever possible)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon, (Basically any U.S. retailer that's is well known.
Location: California, USA
Parts Preferences: MSI and Asus come first with all part selections.
Overclocking: Yes / Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Yes
Your Monitor Resolution: 1440p or 4k
Additional Comments: Quiet and future proof with duel or triple monitor setup.

I have some current parts in my mind that I have selected using pcpartspicker and have a permalink provided. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/grYvkL

I only have 1 question before I get a ton of recommendations. For water-cooling, what's a kit that would be recommended to use with gpu and cpu water blocks?

Thanks for all that look at and respond as well.

Your system isnt all that bad to be honest, you got it pretty right on the first try.
I am assuming that you are doing something that will justify having Titans over 980's.

Three things I would change.
- I would go for more HDD storage. If by "editing" you mean video, then you will no doubt need more.
- You dont need a 1200W PSU, 900-950W is plenty.
- I would advise that for your first build, don't undertake custom watercooling, especially on such a pricey rig. Its your first build, its already going to be complicated and things will probably go wrong, having custom water just makes everything so much more difficult. I have it myself and I fear of my computer ever failing because I know it will be an utter pain to fix, if only because now all my components are anchored to the case.

More of just a personal thing, but Razer keyboards aren't the greatest. I would go for one of the more established mechanical keyboards brands (Ducky, Das, Filco, Steelseries) using Cherry switches. Their mice are amazing though, the Deathadder is a good choice.

Thanks for your response and sorry for my late feedback. I am having assistance from a experienced PC builder who has over 20+ years in custom rigs so I am pretty confident in what training I have gotten. A quick question has come up from the psu, If overclocking my gpu is a plan, what would I be looking at for total wattage? Also I plan on getting a Corsair k95 RGB keyboard, does this seem like a good choice? And if it's not too troublesome, I am actually considering buying a case from Origin PC with the dual radiator support (The Genesis Case) and it's possible as I have gotten a quote on it and it's pricing. from Origin themselves.
