how is overclocking "waving epeen"? since more performance apparently isn't important to you why even suggest a i5 probably should just get a i3. imo overclocking a 3570k from 3.4GHz to 4GHz+ is well worth it.

i went a little over $700 but i clearly beats any other build. has a 3570k and a Z75 mb so you can overclock. if you cant go over $700 drop the cpu cooler and buy it later.

Would a FX-8320 perform better then the i5-3450?? I looked at a benchmark and it was considerably higher on every test? and would it be compatible with all these parts??

Ok, this sounds like a decent rig. With all these components what do you think I could run the most demanding games on battlefield 3, crysis. etc? just trying to get an idea.

Hi.
I looked at Emelth's build and saw that there were lots of things i could improve. And since you're in Canada i included parts from Canadian shops instead of ones in the US.
The result is this.

Awsome man thanks alot seems alot better, I have a couple questions though. How much better is the 3450 compared to the 3350 cause id rather spend the extra 20-40 bucks for a better cpu and my other question is I have heard a couple things about the 7870 sapphire version about some bad cards?? but other then that I really like those componants and most likely will go with this build

a 550 watt PSU will be all thats needed (your not going Xfire on a micro board!)and one of my favorite 7870s aside from the HAWK:

Thanks alot for the help man, So many choices though... the i5-3470 is the processor id pick out of the bunch and not sure about the rest.. I really like the 7870 but Im just a bit skeptical about purchasing one due to many ppl complaining about the black screen and it crashing blah blah blah. Would love to get some more input to choose between the different components. Also which 7870 is the best how much more is the HAWK and how about performance wise?? sorry for all the questions just need to be sure before I start buying.

ps: If anyone could help me find the best wireless adapter/usb would greatly appreciate it thanks alot guys 😀

you're welcome.

the HAWK is about $25 cad more. if you are unsure of the 7870 for some reason, though i haven't seen many complaints, you could think about a GTX 660. it trades blows with the 7870 in many games is usually a little cheaper. but if your looking at overclocking the graphics; the 7870 is the way to go.

sorry i am ignorant about wireless hubs . . .🙁

Haha all's good man, You think it's worth the extra 30$ ? Cause I think it has the gpu reactor for longer life how much better is the performance.

Also for overclocking the graphics, if I go with the rig you suggested would I be able to do it no problem.
Sorry im pretty computer illiterate.. im learning 😛

Thanks for the pickup didnt realize he was in Canada

a link for the HAWK's price

MSI Radeon HD 7870 Hawk Reg. Price: $279.99 CAD
After Mail In Rebate: $269.99 CAD
it would be potentially a better overclocker (every chip is different even on the same card, so mileage varies)

i believe the OP said:

with going Xfire/SLI unnecessary (esp. w/o knowing the resolution or games being played) and overclocking the cpu nothing more than waving epeen; neither are really an issue ATM.

I dont know about overclocking, Im worried about damaging my hardware if it fry's then I wont have money to replace it. Really I just want something thats half way decent to run all current games on high-ultra would be fine with me and I can upgrade the gpu later on, thats all I really care about. Also which cpu is the best listed here there are so many i5 versions it gets confusing which one to choose. And with the b75 I cant overclock and its not sli/xfire at all??

1 More thing, would it be cheaper to crossfire/sli in the future or just buy a top of the line single card when mine goes out of date.

Can someone take all the componants people listed and put them into the best build possible im really confused which to go with. Would really appreciate it guys thanks alot

buying a better single card is always better. going Xfire/SLI is really more for multi monitor set ups. trying to Xfire/SLI two lower/mid range cards will increase the likelihood of getting a microstutter problem.

what where the things you really liked and know you would want?

what didn't you like or are unsure of?

I just want a good reliable motherboa for gaming. I'm sure about the 7870 its a reasonable price and has good performance and I'm sure othe hdd and ram. Only things I'm unsure about is the CPU and motherboard, like do I want to overclock is the performance increase amazing or should I just get a decent CPU that will run fine stock?

Its really hard for ur budget to get a OC'able intel CPU. They guy that posted above just randomly posted stuff without checking your budget. We all wish u could strive for the 3570k its the best gaming CPU as of now but even if you were able to get this you would need to get a reliable motherboard for OCing which would cost more money as well. The system I made is the best we can do with your buget if you want something better you would have to get more money to spend towards it
