First time overclocking core2 duo e6550, P5Q

hi Im a bit of a noob and not really sure where to start as most of the stuff I find on google doesnt really really tell me how just what they got.

I have

Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33ghz
ASUS P5Q motherboard
2x 2gb ddr2 800 ram
HIS iceq4 gpu

I brought this setup to learn on so no dramas if it blows up lol but could someone run me through the steps at how to overclock this cpu?

I only have the stock intel cooler at the moment, I do have a Golden Orb 2 cooler but seem to get lower temps with the stock one.

I know the P5Q has all the options to o'c but im just not sure where to start, any tips would be great thanks

Next stop should be a guide for your particular motherboard. Google is your friend.

Don't expect a lot. Your CPU has a relatively high (333 MHz) FSB and a low internal multiplier. I would be surprised if you can get more than a stable 2.8 GHz out of it.
