Hi everyone. I'm trying to build a new computer for mainly school work and a few games here and there. Nothing fancy just trying to run minecraft at least on high and maybe a few rpgs at least on mid to high. i am open to all advice. Im trying to keep the budget at least 600USD and below. -Crucial Ballistix BLS2KIT4G3D1609DS1S0 Desktop Memory Kit - 8GB (2x 4GB), PC3-12800, DDR3-1600MHz, 240-pin DIMM, 1.5V, CL9, Non-ECC, Unbuffered

-Ultra LS500 Lifetime Series 500W Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, PCI-Express, Lifetime Warranty w/ Registration

-XFX Radeon HD 6450 HD-645X-CLH2 Video Card - 2GB DDR3, PCI-Express 2.1(x16), 1x Dual-Link DVI-I, 1x D-Sub (VGA), 1x HDMI, DirectX 11, CrossFireX, Low Profile, Heatsink

-WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB Desktop Hard Drive - 3.5", SATA, 7200RPM, 16MB Cache

-still need to buy os and is any cd reader okay to use?

P.S.- this is honestly my first time i have never done this or have i very much opened up a computer but since i got the money and some break time i thought this would be a great project to work on.
thank you for the responses.

This will play most new games on high-ish settings. You could always drop to a 7770 if you want to save more money.

Tiny has a very nice build there for you, however it's only at 515$

If you want more variety and would like to max the 600$ budget post back here and I'll give ya something closer to your budget. You can quickly fill out my few questions below to get you something exactly you are looking for.

•Budget:
•More specific use (what games, what programs):
•Planned time until purchase:
•Do you need an Operating System?:
•Do you have any specific preferred components?:
•Do you need a sound or wireless card?:
•Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?:
•Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?:
•Zip code/location? (Shipping costs):

What are your preferences in case style? (lights, flashy, dull, etc)
Are you planning to use multiple monitors?
Are you looking for upgrade-ability?
Do you have any preferred brands?
Can you reuse any components from an older build?
Is there anything else you think we should know?

-common programs like microsoft office and games just minecraft, a little league of legends maybe some newer games but wont happen that much.
i dont plan to purchase anything till i know what i need and i'll probably do it all in a single order
I wasnt really thinking of a sound card but idk if i really need it.
monitor,mouse,and keyboard im okay with

case style im not looking for anything super flashy just something nice and slick.
no multiple monitors.
at the moment no upgrading ability
brand wise well like i said i have never really done this kind of stuff before im trying to learn as i go and experience so which ever brand is good.
I do have an old computer i dont use anymore and i just wanted to take the cd reader from it thats all.

ASRock B75M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Cooler Master Elite 370 ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports.
since there is no usb 3.0 port what can i do with the USB port then from the motherboard?

Best processor for the budget in here. This machine will run anything you throw at it.
Only downside is we didn't go the SSD route. If you could re-use an old harddrive we could throw in there a 120-250gb SSD. USB 3.0 Case and Mobo, make sure your existing CD Drive is Sata. If it isn't you can pick up a CD Drive for 15 bucks.
