I have the Logitech Z-640 surround sound system. Recently the imput to the left speaker went dead. I still get sound to all the other speakers and have tried other, working speakers in that imput and they don't work.

My question is this: Can that output be fixed? Or can I rewire it so the output to one of the rear speakers will become the output to the front left speaker? (I would rather have two working front speakers than only 1. Makes for wierd gaming.)

If no one knows, I might just go ahead and try anyway.

Thanks guys!

Well, its not the speaker or the wire comming from the subwoofer. I tried known working speakers and cables and they didn't work either - So I'm guessing its most internal problems

Pop the case of the amp/sub and check for a dead joint / dodgy solder (make sure it's off and give it a good 24 hours to power down and drain capacitors (leave it connected to earth if you can)). If you can see a break, that's where the problem is. Otherwise, more troubleshooting required!

I second that...its probably likely the connection/solder is broken near the female input...Do what you can to see if you can get at the innards around there and check it.
