I'm in need of some help. My laptop is an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-cd0xxx. Some of the letters on the keyboard have stopped working, so for school I've been using it mainly at home and using a separate keyboard plugged in. It's been getting really old and I'm going to need my laptop a lot more for upcoming semesters, and I'd rather not carry a separate piece around wherever I go. The computer also works well enough, so I don't feel like replacing the whole thing I just wonder if someone is out there that knows how to replace a keyboard for a laptop well enough to help me out. I've done a few hardware things for desktops, but nothing with laptops. Afraid of breaking anything. The keyboard and the top panel look very bolted in and I'm not sure how to replace a keyboard for it. I found this keyboard that looks like it could work, but I'd rather be sure before buying it.

Cannot find any tutorials online about this specific type of laptop, so if anyone could help me feel comfortable enough to do this i'd really appreciate it.

Have a web search for "hp pavilion x360 disassembly" and you'll probably find a video tutorial on this.
From what I can see, the panel and keyboard is all one piece. Doesn't seem too terribly hard to do, the only problem is that the panels cost about $100 anywhere I see. Is that worth it?

Depends on the computer age, cost and general condition.
Well just recently I did a factory reset on it and it runs far faster. It's a pretty decent computer, but it was under 500 or 400 when I bought it I believe.

I could not find your exact model so if there is anything you can use off what I could find I hope it helps.

This is a new twist that you have to buy the keyboard back plate separate, never have I had to do that, but I guess it is what it is?

The most information I think you can use is in the comment section on the bottom of the first post.

I usually dig into Amazon and I have in the past bought replacement laptop keyboards there. Good luck
