flash memory cannot be used as system memory, but it can be used as virtual memory, first you will need to go in to the control panel(system and security), then change the virtual memory settings - (system) - (advanced system settings) - (advanced tab) - (performance -settings) - (advanced tab) - (virtual memory - change) then uncheck the automatically change virtual memory check box, then select the flash drive letter and that will do it.

Ready boost is virtual memory caching. Difference is it is on flash memory instead of a hard drive. Physical memory refers to the system RAM modules on the motherboard.

Either way, enabling ready boost on flash devices will let the computer use it as system memory because whether it is physical or virtual doesn't matter outside of the performance of the medium being used. The hard drive is too slow and the flash has better random access times so it is better at pretending to be system RAM then the hard drive is.
