Question Flight sim downloads at extremely slow speeds compared to steam

First, you are confusing megaBytes vs megabits.
Steam is reporting in Bytes, your flight sim in bits.

8 bits = 1 Byte.

But, that is mostly irrelevant here, because the bit/byte conversion would go the other way.


Download speed is/can be regulated by the upload speed of the server.
There is likely nothing you can do to make the flight sim server give it to you faster.

Well 8.2 megabits which i get on flight sim (downloading from pc xbox app) is considerably slower than what I get on steam. My download speed from speedtest.net is 300mbps, same for upload, ping is 8.

And that is reliant on what their server can deliver to you.
