I originally purchased my computer with the Windows XP
home edition software on it-Everything functioned great.
A year or more down the road, some important components
of my windows software were deleted mistakenly by
computer illiterate people.

Acknowledging this, and not having my software package
sent along with the computer, I borrowed a friends
windows XP Professional software program and installed it
on my computer with hopes of having a brand new and well
functioning computer-Everything was great. Well just
untill I had to use my floppy disk drive.

Whenever I insert a floppy disk, the computer always
displays a message stating: "The disk in drive (A:) is
not formated. Do you want to format it?". But, whenever I
try to format the floppy disk, windows again displays a
message saying that the floppy disk I have inserted
cannot be formated. In other words, whichever Floppy disk
I insert into my floppy disk drive cannot be read.

I feel that the problem may be coming from the XP
professional software. But, How can I make my old floppy
disk drive work with the new software?

You are not very clever advising the world that you have recently pirated or
illegally applied Windows XP to your computer.

Just wait till the emails start pouring in from the lawyers.

As for your problem, it has nothing to do with Windows XP Home or XP Pro.
It will most likely be that the Flopy drive needs replacing. You can get one
of these for $10 at most PC places [or maybe you can get one free from a
friend].
