Most of us are regular people with busy lives.
I have see this thread go almost a month with no replies. So do not take it personally.
Some like EXT64 hit it in spurts. here a couple weeks and then gone for weeks, some pass by occasionally and say hi and are gone again.
After Christmas I will take our yearly vacation with the grand kids and will be gone a month or so and may or not check in depending on wifi at the state/national parks we are in.
Will be New Orleans and the gulf coast this year. Some have cell service, some do not. And very few have Wi_Fi.
It is our time for the grand kids and back to nature ,with hiking and biking being the top of the list and of course walks with the dogs.

Service pack 2? I don't think there are any service packs on Win 10 yet. :??:

Can't comment on what PCIe revision Nvidia cards run at while folding, but for what it's worth my 290 stays on 3.0 x16. But dropping to 2.0 or 1.1 should just be for power saving, so if that happens it might just be a better power optimization by Nvidia.

yes ut was the service pack for sql server thingy and yes its nvidia trying to to save power..it confuses me.i do a lot of benchmarks .my games have had a real beating from something and idt its the card.it all ran fine until silverlight got involved.grr

Be careful with that wi-fi Ricky😀

it all started with that Poo bear you know.then paddington.[a BIG blutooth fan] even more than marmalade sandwiches

i will catch you sid vicious and your golden key to the top 30 ya ah heck you

Well.. I have some developments..

Installed 1200w EVGA Supanova.

F@H still recognises the 980 as the 980ti and vice versa.....but....

I have just run both cards all night with no bad states, including a 0x21 wu !!

This is with both cards at default speed and memory settings.

Not confident enough to say just yet that all my problems are solved but its looking better:wahoo:

Got my fingers crossed for you Beano. Can't even imagine how frustrating it must be to have awesome hardware like that just not quite work right.

In other news, we seem to have set new weekly and monthly records at the same time. We broke 40 mill for the past week (by weird US reckoning where weeks end on Saturday), and nearly 165 mill for October.

:ouch: :bounce:

Thanks:) Very frustrating:fou:

Those are some impressive team numbers, I'm guessing this rig, all going well should hit 750-850k ppd.

PPD on these 980/980ti's vary immensely, 980 is 280k-440k and 980ti 390k - 610k !!

Hopefully the big point 0x21 units will run now, just waiting for another :peur:

great news Beano. a tutter from your old PSU maybe? it will be my next,i want a gold or platinum cert. xfx, seasonic etc 1000 watt as i want another of these cards in the future in sli.SO chuffed with it.

Second 0x21 completed without error, just picked up another.

This EVGA 1200 P2 got some great reviews, 100A on a single 12v line, fully modular.

Picked it up off Amazon for £179 with a 10 year warranty.

Looking hopeful, I did suspect power all along 😉

@EXT, I'm gonna run these for a few days just to settle my lack of confidence and then if I can overclock both cards to around 1700mhz I may well knock you off that No:1 spot.

Current PPD @852k:bounce:

mine is 1753 stock lol .glad you got it sorted beano.how do i work out my daily PDD?

Well it says reducing the checkpoint time might decrease performance so I was wondering if increasing it would improve performance.

Both cards have now successfully completed 0x21 wu's, default settings for boost and memory.
