Dothan is coming out and rumors abound that it will be faster than A64 clock for clock and use IA-32E extensions. effectively using 2mb L2 cache and run on 533fsb.

The NetBurst architecture has some really nice technology. I just don't get why suddenly they wouldn't try to integrate some into the Pentium M core, or why is Dothan so strong, yet so little power consuming, and it defies the best Desktop CPUs clock for clock. IMO Intel really hasn't tried to optimize their desktop CPUs like on laptop ones.
