They die by the half dozens, get it right if you plan on making a valid point.

Why on earth would you rename yourself as P4Man? to fool newbies into thinking you actually know something about processors?

The issue is very similar. THe point raised in the initial post is just as "valid" as the point A64's can die from overvolting the OMC. If posting one is fanboy fudding, then so is the other. And at least the poster here didn't lie about the contents of the article he just linked without making up facts like you.

>Why on earth would you rename yourself as P4Man

I've used this name for ages, just not here. It had its reasons once, and now its just a name. get over it.

Prescott is designed to withstand and tolerate more heat than the t-bird. It's new 7-layer low k copper inner-connect design and uses new silicon material. I don't know when the throttling mechanism kicks in for Prescott though since it runs at higher threshold than northwoods.

I'm not grasping at anything. It is an irrelevant link in response to your irrelevant link on the A64 dying by the dozens.

A long long time ago, but I can still remember, how that music used to make me smile... <A HREF="http://www.nexus.hu/zonix/DIGGER.MID" target="_new"><b><font color=blue>Digger rulz</font color=blue></b></A>

Whew, this thread reeks of FUGGER's bitter outrage! I guess picking on a processor's severe heat/voltage problems is only lame and fanboyish if it's Intel's severe heat/voltage problems. Nice double standard there.

Oh, and FUGGER, [H]ardOCP has far more credibility, maturity, and backbone than you do. Deal with it.

Meanwhile, Kanavit keeps jumping up and down shouting <i>"Screw the facts! Look at the wookie!"</i>

Shame about Prescott's heat problems and the crummy engineering behind them. But seeing FUGGER writhing and spitting in injured arrogance is the best laugh I've had all week.

I can find plenty of dead <A HREF="http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/news6375.html" target="_new">Northwoods</A>. The point is mute anyways. Neither of which was the original subject of this thread. So let it die and stop giving misinformation and don’t make me use the T word.

Bitter outrage? wtf you been smoking to come up with that conclusion?

Your reply shows how pathetic you are. You are grasping at anything to insult me and showing everyone else how AMD Fanboy's react.

Thanks for being lame, you are a natural.

Dated 2002, my god you guys are digging very deep to come up with squat. Got anything newer or remotely relevant?

<b>My sig is better than yours.<b>

Dated. The sub argument was about the T-Bird, which is much more dated than that article. I could care less about yesterday’s processors. I didn’t bring them up. Juin did. Get on his case.

Hmm, lol everybody still thinks Prescott has heat problems. Heat isn't an issue. even with high temperature, a 3.0e prescott can reach 4ghz on air!

Yeah, you're right. I guess we can blame blown power supplies, boiling-hot capacitors, and melted plastic on...gremlins! Yeah, that's it, gremlins!

Hehehehehehe.

Its funny even Pat Gelsinger seems to disagree with you.

Moot, my bad (grammar that is), def - Of no practical importance; irrelevant, I guess I won’t make that mistake again. Thanks. Dam 16th century law terms.

Maybe he was trying to say that the point is silent...nah. Glad to see someone corrects people about moot, when used properly it is a lovely word.

Maxtor disgraces the six letters that make Matrox.

Fugger your anger management is becoming problematic lately. Not enough relaxants?

You should try to use better arguments than attacking P4Man on his name, formerly Bbaeyens.

Prescott default vcore is only 1.4v , and is 90nm process. xbit labs now says prescott core will be available at 2.4ghz and 533fsb no HT. <A HREF="http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/di...0223015742.html" target="_new">http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/di...0223015742.html</A>
