I chose the Antec 300 over the 900 or 1200 because I was looking for a basic but sexy look in a case. The 300 is a miniature version of its big brothers but still has plenty of space to fit even my Big Typhoon Cooler as well as my bare assortment of hardware (GA-EP35-DS3P, 8800GTS 320MB, 2x SATA HD and eSATA drive, XFi sound). It still has the 200mm fan up top and the included fans have built in switches so you can choose your own sound-to-cooling ratio. I set all of mine to medium, and even at full load my E6600 stays under 50ºC.

Right, powerful cases, but I wonder why the NZXT Zero wasn't on the list, since it has plenty of fans I would have thought it would be good to compare the cooling. The case design and aluminum finish are both good bonuses too.

Replacing the $600 case with another case in the $100-$300 range would seem like a better idea, especially since the $600 one didn't set itself apart from the others.

Concerning the HAF picture subtitled "not the prettiest interior":

Ever heard of wire management? All those holes in the motherboard tray are there for a reason! I personally own the HAF chassis and the visible interior of my case is nearly completely devoid of wiring. Everything runs behind the motherboard tray. Even more significant, I managed this with a non-modular power supply that has lots of cables (Read: CM UCP 900w). The wires come out of the PSU and dive immediately behind the motherboard, only to reappear for a short length next to their corresponding motherboard connections.

I understand that time constraints may have prevent any significant attempts at cable management. However, it should be noted in the review that better cable management may significantly improve airflow while providing a clutter-free visible interior. As for the subtitle, I would suggest something like "Given ample time and consideration, this cluttered interior could have been easily cleared away using the provided wire-management options."

Does anyone see a problem with the TT spedo advance? Having the hard drives at the front of the case and the graphics cards behind them means that your hard drive heat is extracted using the same fan that the graphics cards do.

You say you prefer the full ATX cases for gaming rigs to dissipate heat better, but the difference seems small. The dimensions for the Antec 1200 are only slightly larger than the 300. The fans seem to be a much bigger difference between these two systems to me. What do you lose in getting a midATX with good fans?

They forgot to mention that the Spedo has eight expansion slots while the others have seven except for the Canyon which has 10. I'm expecting the Spedo Advance to come in today and I hope its not as cheap as some reviewers have claimed.

1200 quieter than HAF932?! NO WAY! 1200 is reported to be like an jet engine, whereas, the HAF932 is claimed to be very quiet by many owners at neweggs. Did you use MAX fan speed for 1200 for temp test and MIN fan speed for Acoustic test?

CM HAF932 fan speed is fixed! ! ! How can it become so much louder at load? Besides, all other benches I read shows that HAF932 is quiter and cooler than 1200. It seems like we have an Antec fan boy here who do the acoustic and thermal test with 1200's MIN and MAX speed respectively.

Excellent article and I just got my HAF case for $129 on sale (3 left in the box + display one - MicroCenter, Houston, TX). In a couple weeks, I will be getting my mobo and processor (i7 and Gigabit UD3 or 4 depending on which one is on sale) and moving all the other hardware from my old case to the new one. I picked the HAF specifically because of the large fans and air flow.
